Ready for a little reverse psychology?
If you want to play patty-cake with a deadly disease, here’s how:
1. Drink alcohol. Alcohol interferes with folate, contributing to DNA damage.
2. Eat lots of everything. Excess calories contribute to obesity, a known risk factor.
3. Make your meats red and processed. They contain saturated fat and produce potentially cancer-causing compounds when cooked at high heat.
4. Choose refined carbohydrates. These may trigger overproduction of insulin, which may promote cancer cell growth.
If you want to lower your risk of cancer . . . well . . . you know what to do.
