Stoke Risk Factors

An international study has found that 10 risk factors account for 90 percent of all the risk of stroke. They are:

1. high blood pressure

2. smoking

3. lack of physical activity

4. waist-to-hip ratio (abdominal obesity)

5. poor diet blood

6. lipid (fat) levels

7. diabetes

8. alcohol intake

9. stress and depression

10. heart disorders

The good news is that many of the risk factors are controllable by positive lifestyle choices.
