The antioxidant concentration in raspberries is ten times greater than that of tomatoes and broccoli, according to recent findings by a research team in the Netherlands. They also discovered raspberries contain specific antioxidants not present in other fruits.
While flash-freezing and storing certain fruits and vegetables at sub-zero temperatures destroys much of their vitamin C value, extreme temperatures do not affect the antioxidant capacity of raspberries.
Antioxidants are known to provide multiple health benefits and may play a crucial role in reducing inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other forms of these diseases.
