Eat Carbs Lose Weight

Forget low-carbohydrate fad diets. Total vegetarians who put no limits on carb-rich pastas, beans, breads, rice, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables are more likely to lose weight than those who minimize their carb intake. Japan, China, Thailand, and other Asian countries boast the lowest obesity rates in the world. In these countries people base their diets on rice, noodles, and vegetables; consuming very little meat, dairy products, or other fatty foods. Carbohydrate-rich diets also improve insulin sensitivity, which appears to lead to an increased after-meal calorie burn.
